As part of the celebration of El Minuto de Dios's 60th anniversary, and coinciding with World Art Day and ARTBO weekend, the MAC opened Kalopsia, Beauty against Oblivion, featuring work by Pedro Ruiz, Nadín Ospina, and Óscar González Guache.

Curated by Gustavo A. Ortiz Serrano, the show proposed beauty not as a form of escapism but as «a critical strategy for addressing social, political, and cultural complexity». The concept of kalopsia —perceiving something as more beautiful than it truly is— operates here as «a tool of resistance and a transformation of how we look», allowing the artists to process collective trauma without giving up dignity or hope.

The works gathered address identity, ancestry, memory, contemporary culture, and the relationship with territory. The exhibition was part of a broader program by MD Cultura for the anniversary of El Minuto de Dios —founded by Father Rafael García-Herreros on the premise that «beauty has a social function»—, which also included the opening of the Archaeological Museum in Pasto, the Museo de Oriente in Bogotá, the reopening of the Museo Padre Rafael and the Centro de Cultura Calle 90, as well as theater and concert programming.
