Converging between the nomadic and the static, Daniela Olave finds, in the vortex of urban chaos, these warm, timeless spaces; immersing herself in them like a silent watcher, Olave frequents them, treasuring them as the heart of Bogotá. These places, and those who inhabit them, share a relationship with one another: both lost track of time, and right at the moment just before fading away, they chose to remain just as they are, forever.

In this show, "Circumpolar," we see how Olave portrays these places together with their inhabitants, preserving and recalling these fading spaces that have never truly left our side; likewise, commissioned by the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá, Olave extends her series "Instants," portraying some residents of the Barrio Minuto de Dios who have never left this place, who have watched it change, and who have preserved themselves as a kind of motionless time, and who will be remembered forever.
The show will be open to the public until January 25, 2015.
