62 artists from 13 countries come together at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá for the International Exhibition Encounters and Visions 2014, presented by the Organización Mundial de Artistas Integrados OMAI.
This organization, which works to promote art internationally, arrives at the MAC to join the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Fundación Alianza Educativa.
The artists featured in this show, focused mainly on painting with some photography and prints, reveal the enormous creative potential of human beings—not only to represent what they see around them but, more fundamentally, to evoke the perceptions of their personal universe upon contact with reality.
Techniques such as acrylic, oil, colored pencil, ink, watercolor, printmaking and photography are the tools used by the artists selected by MAI Colombia.
As for themes, we find great diversity: landscapes, the human figure, abstraction, the city, portraiture and nature.
The show will be open to the public from August 15 to 31, 2014.
