The tattoo lives beneath the skin; it expresses, it communicates, and like any image, it is surrounded by the experiences, stimuli, circumstances and desires of the person who creates it. In these in-between spaces, both the person who gets a tattoo and the person who designs it forge a strong narrative, anecdotal and commemorative element around their life and relationships. Just like music, ink becomes a vehicle that records, captures and sets down different states of our existence.

Every life has its soundtrack, from the primal cry to our last breath; music is a ceremony that unites the spiritual and the sensual, and it is in this process that the tattoo image takes on symbolic and ritual qualities that allow for a "union," a mark that becomes identity and unites us in a faith without dogma: music.
In this world, its spaces and protagonists make up a moment intrinsically tied to a movement, a style, or a genre, which is inevitably linked to countercultural and identity-based processes; it is at this point that the tattoo artist becomes a bridge, a mediator between music as concept and experience and the image as an element that condenses vibrations and energies.
Music, just like ink, flows through the pores of the person who has been tattooed.
The show continues the research processes carried out in 2013 with "Tendencies, Artists and Study of Tattooing," which conceived of the tattoo as a bodily manifestation in constant dialogue with diverse cultural expressions and lifestyles—in this case, music.
The show, which includes drawings, videos, objects and airbrush work, will feature the participation of 17 Colombian tattoo artists, the Italian Ericailcane, and the Brazilians Marcelo Shin and Gregorio Marangoni.
The exhibition opening will take place on September 5 at 6:00 pm with a concert by the band Salvajes. Open to the public through September 28.
