In this first decade, <Proyecto>Tesis has managed to connect academia with the museum and promote emerging artists from more than 30 universities across the country, joined from Venezuela by UNEARTES and the Universidad los Andes de Mérida; over this journey, 500 of the nearly 800 undergraduate thesis projects in visual and plastic arts, fashion design, installations, and other contemporary expressions received during the open calls have been exhibited, and these, along with the 10 exhibition catalogs, now enrich the MAC's documentation center.

The goal is to follow the professional careers of those who got their start in our museum's rooms, and to reaffirm our commitment as an institution that researches, disseminates, and promotes contemporary artistic practices.
From a curatorial perspective, two phases have been established that will allow for a diverse and rich selection of participants from this decade; first, the authors of the theses exhibited between 2004 and 2008, and later, in 2014, those corresponding to the years 2009 to 2013.
The exhibition, which includes photography, video, painting, sculpture, installations, and performance, will also feature visual artists Luisa Bohórquez and Sebastián Pérez, who will broadcast live on Saturday, August 10, from the Teatro Tornavía at UNSAM (Universidad Nacional de San Martín) in Buenos Aires, (Argentina), their performances GESTUARIOS and POLIFORMICOS.
The exhibition will be open to the public from August 10 to September 29. Free admission on Saturday, August 10 at 02:00 p.m. during its opening.
