The awards ceremony was held at the MAC's facilities this past January 19, where cash prizes and Faber-Castell products were awarded to the winners in the following categories: Professionals, Carolina Rubiano Navas, Emiss Caldas Orozco, and Armando Marín Lopera; and Students, Alejandro Méndez Jiménez, Ferney Cortes Bautista, and Julia Tovar Mantilla. Twelve mentions were also given to the most outstanding works.
We invite you to explore the exhibition across its two rooms, in a thematic journey through fables (Simón el Bobito, La Pobre Viejecita, Michin el Gato Bandido, and La Pastorcita), portraits of Rafael Pombo, and poems, where you can appreciate the diversity of watercolor, pencil, ink, and acrylic techniques used by the participating artists.
In the main rotunda you will find a section of bibliographic references on the work of Rafael Pombo, from the Biblioteca Rafael García Herreros at Uniminuto, so that visitors can gain a firsthand look at his valuable literary contributions.
