Sandra Rengifo has been known for addressing melancholic themes related to conflict; that conflict which has devastated our history, our nation, and our rural population, crosses our path through places that at first glance we don't recognize, but which carry a rather heavy historical burden of violence — she keeps it hidden, never revealing it directly, which gives her narrative a different quality.

Juha Arvid Helminen leads us, through photography, into a dark world, where the color black predominates in the bodies and garments, a color that has always stood out as the triumphant hue of night and death, with ties to witches, the devil, and cemeteries, while never losing sight of the strange and the fantastical. His series, The Invisible Empire, reveals another path, a critique and an act of rejection of the system, of the armed forces, of political power, and of authority.

The Invisible Empire and Limbo are two shows that tell a story while also denouncing events that have affected two contexts linked to one another.
