DYNAMISM
National and international artists have joined the permanent collection over the past eight years. The selection of these thirteen works, which span different languages such as video, painting, printmaking, installation, performance, and photography, aims to show a panorama from contemporaneity where different readings of the context can be made.
The chosen pieces address topics such as the perception of the body and the image in society, how it is seen and stigmatized by political, religious, and ideological tendencies that are part of the system. Seeing the body accompanied by the image as a tool of resistance and catharsis to confront fears, anxieties, sorrows, disorders, and desires, among other mental and bodily states of the human being, that invite others who likewise wish to confront their own demons into these lived acts. We can also add that the works touch on topics such as the role women play in the workplace and how they are judged depending on their socioeconomic status.
The exhibition Dynamism is conceived as a trigger for thought toward the commitment that, as citizens, we must exercise, or that, as political bodies, we must activate.
