The selection of works presented in this exhibition was made jointly by artists and curators, with the curatorship being the product of a collective process; the joining of efforts from multiple fronts and mutual support between them make it possible to turn ideas into projects of social transformation, which is why we find it necessary to generate, collectively, forms of resistance to the loss of culture, identity, expression, and humanity.

We chose a thematic line that the artists developed from their own personal perspectives and research around finding El Dorado — a treasure, a symbol of personal identity, collective identity, and authenticity; El Dorado, an encounter, a request, and a desire to transform; El Dorado, the most human part of who we are, what we possess, the essential thing that shines within each and every one of us.
With this exhibition we wish for each person to find their own diverse El Dorado, yet one similar in all of us; we also wish that the viewer, and those who have lost their treasure, may find it, may resist, may shine like living stones of gold, bright and unstained. May the heart and mind wish to live again.
The exhibition opens on June 8, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will be on view until July 22, 2017 during regular hours.
