As part of its 50th anniversary the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá (MAC) comes to Bello with the exhibition Transversal Dialogues.

The MAC thanks to the support of the General Rectory of UNIMINUTO and the cultural work with artists, academic and cultural institutions, community, and the national and international art circuit, will have a presence at various UNIMINUTO campuses with the projectA Museum for Everyone.Through traveling exhibitions, talks, and workshops it will highlight different concepts, techniques, and perspectives of contemporary art, from its collection and through the participation of artists from different generations, with the aim of creating transversal  dialogues that showcase and underscore the importance of the artistic heritage it safeguards, as well as its artistic, educational, and communication processes over half a century of cultural activity.

The show presents works in photography, photo-screen printing, screen printing, painting, and graffiti by 14 artists who present a brief overview of events that are not foreign to our everyday context and that somehow touch and affect us. Violence, environmental exploitation, the concept of urban property, the body, and sexuality are some of the themes addressed here.

Transversal Dialogues is an invitation to reflect, generate debate, and raise questions about a model of life that has been implemented by a system we must accept and cannot question, under certain behavioral, political, religious, and economic parameters. The pieces shown in this space are merely a sample of the potential that art has and how far it can go, in search of opening new paths and dialogues.
